The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) has launched a new video series called “Short Takes with NIAAA“. Each 60-second video in the series tackles an alcohol-related term that is widely used, but often misunderstood. In the first release, “Short Takes” covers alcohol-induced blackouts, alcohol use disorder, binge drinking, and alcohol overdoses. NIAAA plans to publish more videos in the series.
“Short Takes” is intended to be helpful to the general public as well as health care providers in educating people about the dangers of alcohol misuse. The videos can be accessed from the NIAAA website.
